Learning Support Hamm

The Education and Participation Package aims to promote and support children, teenagers, and young adults from low-income families. Among other things, it can cover the costs of extracurricular tutoring. Please note that registration via this portal is only possible if the tutoring has been approved in advance and you have received the voucher from the approving authority (Hamm Municipal Job Center / Office for Social Affairs, Housing and Care).
As of December 2024, all families with children, adolescents and young adults under 25 years of age who receive at least one of the following benefits are eligible for benefits:

• Benefits from the municipal job center according to the German Social Code, Book II (SGB II) (citizen's allowance, formerly Hartz IV)
• Benefits under the German Social Code, Book XII (SGB XII) from the Office for Social Affairs, Housing and Care
• Housing benefit from the Office for Social Affairs, Housing and Care
• Child supplement from the family benefits office
• Benefits under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (group of persons under Sections 2 and 3 of the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act)

Here's how it works:

1. Apply for reimbursement of the costs for extracurricular tutoring under the Education and Participation Package. You can find the tutoring application form here:

2. Once your application has been approved by the granting authority, you select a suitable tutoring provider for your child. You can view the offers in your district or all offers .

3. Request a suitable offer online. Please have the following information ready:
   Coupon
   / the voucher number ready.
4. After successful submission of your request, you will receive an email with confirmation of your request and all information regarding the booked offer.
5. The learning provider receives your registration request and will contact you.
6. Tutoring for your child can start after confirmation from the provider.

Please note that separate registration is required for each subject (one voucher per subject)!
